A Linux installfest was held in Tehran on 16 September, Free Software Day, in Tehran’s municipality IT house of culture from 16 to 20 PM with AICTC and Iran National FOSS project support.

All Linux fans could bring their boxes to take advantage of the experts in installing their desired Linux flavor and troubleshoot their systems while learning about the installation routines.

The event was organized for the first time by foss.ir with assistance of IT house of culture and lugir.org.

Another interesting event was the training workshops on Linux and FOSS installation and selling favorite distros.

The fans where only required to bring their boxes and other facilities such as monitor, keyboard and mouse were provided by IT house of culture along with the needed training for the installation and use of the software.

This is the second celebration held for FOSS day memorial in Iran by Linux and FOSS enthusiasts.
