Code Breakers Documentary with Persian subtitle in Iran
Code breakers, the term may give you an image of a 21th century thriller about computer crackers but it's not so. Code breakers is the title of a two-part documentary on FOSS which was broadcast on BBC a while ago.
The series is produced by an independent group and aims at giving an insight on FOSS and how it tries to bridge the so-called “Digital Divide”.
The producer team have done a great job, traveling to a dozen countries such as Srilanka, Brazil and Spain. It demonstrate how FOSS has changed the way things are done, from school networking in Spain to disaster recovery in Srilanka. The series is now available for download here.
The documentary has been translated into Persian by the FOSS project at Iran's Telecommunication Research Center by support from Sharif Advanced Information, Communication and Technology Center. To order copies of the series with Persian subtitle, you can contact info@foss.ir
