Second Gathering of the Iranian Linux Users in Mashad

On 23rd and 24th of July 2005, along with the second festival of learning advanced algorithms for computer instructors, two gatherings were held. These gathering were hosted by the Iranian Linux User group (ILUG) with assistance from Patfa Company in Mashad.
On first day's afternoon, Farid Behnia from ILUG had a session on how Linux and Windows compare on security issues. Next morning, Behnia had another presentation on Linux software's specific characteristics and the pitfalls of the Windows software as compared to Linux.
The outcome of such gatherings is expected to be a step forward in engaging technical and IT instructors in order to enhance the open source movement to a great extent.
