GNU/ Linux Seminar in Yazd
After numerous events and seminars being held in different cities to promote and raise FOSS, it’s time for Yazd to be host to a seminar on this topic to familiarize people of the city and the province with such software.
After numerous events and seminars being held in different cities to promote and raise FOSS, it’s time for Yazd to be host to a seminar on this topic to familiarize people of the city and the province with such software.
The seminar was held on 12th of November in Province Government building.
During the one-day seminar, titled “Getting to know FOSS and FarsiLinux”, IT experts of the province learned about FOSS and its usage.
Workshops on Linux desktop and a film called “Code Breakers”, a documentary on FOSS and its development in different nations was among the other activities during the seminar.
Sharif Advanced Information and Communication Technology Center and Yazd TAKFA are holding the event by support from Iran Telecommunication Research Center and Yazd’s IT steering committee.
The enthusiasts could sign up at www.yazdhamayesh.ir, a portal meant for informing the public.
