ShahreKord GNU/Linux Conference (Iran FOSS)
After successfully being held up at Kish, Parand and Zanjan universities, there will another FOSS gathering at ShahreKord city.
During the one day occasion, the students will be introduced to the usage of such software in education and training. A workshop for introduction to Linux desktop environmet, its installation and demonstration of a documentary film (Open Source revolution) are among other activities to be conducted during the happening.
The event is presented by Free/Open Source National Project of Iran. AICTC, along with collaboration from high council of informatics, Supreme council of ICT and MehrAra company are sponsoring this event. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May the 31th, 2006.
