Indian IT Minister releases BOSS GNU/Linux

BOSS short for Bharat Operating System Solutions was officially released at Elitex 2007 in Delhi.

Delhi - It was another feather in the cap of the NRCFOSS's initiatives in spreading the use of Free/Open Source Software in the country with the official release of the Indian version of GNU/Linux being developed there. BOSS 1.0 nicknamed Tarang for its potential to create "ripples" was released by Honourable Minister Shri Dayanidhi Maran at the Elitex 2007 expo. He was pleased that the team had done a good job and expressed the desire to see BOSS being used at Central and State departments. BOSS presently supports Tamil and Hindi.
