Session Format

Each session is divided into the following parts:

  • Presentation
    30 minute presentation on the topic by the Resource Person/Speaker.

  • Viewpoints and Experiences
    Discussants are invited to share their viewpoints and experiences, from either country or personal point of views.

  • Questions and Answers
    Questions related directly to the presentation/viewpoints previously shared.

  • General Discussion
    Discussion on the issues raised, identifying the policies, needs, priorities and ways for building capacity.

Working Groups

Following the conclusion of all the sessions, the consultation breaks out into working groups according to the following themes: FOSS in government, Localization of FOSS and Building FOSS capacities. The discussions of the parallel working groups serve as input to the plenary session, Findings and Recommendations.
