A list of educational institutions in Asia-Pacific using Free/Open Source Software to provide services for students and as part of their courses.

http://www.kusza.edu.myMost of the core information services for students are running FOSS such as Apache, MySQL, Sendmail, Cyrus Imapd and Squid. Currently moving their Informix DB from AIX to Red Hat ES. That Informix DB currently holds students, staff, administrative information.
Also using Moodle and teaching FOSS programming languages such as PHP, Perl and C. Students are also thaught to program using VI editor and GNU C Compiler suite.

Debian GNU/Linux. It is the largest deployment of GNU/Linux in India. around
2800 Schools uses it ie. an average of 28000 computers installed with GNU/Linux
and around 10,000,00 students using it
