Open Source Health Information System Makes It to Stockholm Challenge Finals
The Community Health Information Tracking System (CHITS) of the Medical Informatics Unit, University of the Philippines Manila made it as one of the finalists in the Stockholm Challenge 2006.
A web-based system developed to run optimally on LAMP, CHITS is released under the GPL and is managed by Dr. Herman Tolentino. It is currently being used in several health centers in the Philippines. The CHITS website is at www.chits.info.
