IEEE Computer Society (Malaysian Chapter) is organising a one-day hands-on course on 'Kuro Box (Linux Server) & Linux Embedded Applications'.

This course will be conducted by Mr. Niibe Yutaka from Japan. Some of you who attended the previous Code Fest probably would remember him.

The Objective of the course are:

a. To provide the understanding of the essentials of embedded Linux.
b. To give a practical experience in developing an embedded Linux system.
c. To give a hands-on experience of developing Linux applications code

Trainer's Profile

Mr. Niibe is the Research Group Leader for National Institute of AIST (Advanced Industrial Science and Technology), Japan. He joined the development group of GNU Emacs in 1991. He is the Co-founder of NPO, the Free Software Initiative of Japan (FSIJ) which was established in 2002. Since 2003, he is the Chairman of the Board of FSIJ.

For those who are still interested, please kindly register yourself so that we can confirm the room. So far we have space for about 40 people but in case there are more to come - we want to ensure that everybody get to sit in so that we won't get distracted and can concentrate with
the course.
