Heise Online: Das International Open Source Network (IOSN), eine Initiative des United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), hat eine Anleitung für Linux-Einsteiger veröffentlicht. Die Anleitung ist in Englisch gehalten und richtet sich insbesondere an künftige Linux-Anwender in so genannten Entwicklungsländern. Das Dokument ist unter der Creative Commons Attribution License erschienen. So ist damit zu rechnen, dass es weitere Verbreitung finden und in zusätzlichen Sprachen erscheinen wird.

It is available as a series of PDF files, and is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 license. "The main aim is to provide a self-learning guide on how to use a modern Linux desktop system. It assumes that the user has no prior knowledge of Linux or PC usage."
