IOSN Upgrades to new server
After being Slashdotted twice in one week, the IOSN has now moved to a faster dedicated server with more bandwidth. We now hope to provide better access to our popular FOSS materials and to support a larger commmunity.
IOSN will shortly be releasing more primers, a multimedia version of the Linux end user materials and hosting more projects from our FOSS grant schemes.
We have been adding more Plone products for more content types. Recently we have also added blogs and wiki's. Members are allowed to create these in their personal folders. Don't forget to change the state of your content types to submit, so that it will be submitted for review to be published and available for public viewing.
Setting up a FOSS user group and need online space? Don't hesitate to contact us, so we can create folders for your user group. Wiki's, forums, blogs, photo galleries and more are easily added. The user group's news, events and related contents will also be shared with others.
For the future we look forward to making the contents of this site available via the Open Access Iniatives standard and make it easier for users to specify Creative Common licenses for items published on IOSN.
