The 4 days workshop is desinged to help the web developer to use Ruby on Rails (RoR) for web development. The workshop will be conducted by the instructors from www.code71.com. BdOSN organizing the workshop with the support from IICT, BUET, Dhaka.

Description: The workshop is designed for those who want to learn basics of programming with Ruby on Rails (RoR). The instructors will go through hands on exercises on how to use the RoR framework to develop a web application. The students will learn to create a RoR environment (including MySQL setup), develop small applications, deploy the applications and test it properly. Pre-requisite: RoR is an Object Oriented Framework, so previous understanding of OO concepts (e.g. class, objects, inheritance, abstraction) and database concepts will be required. The instructors will not teach those during the workshop.
