Guide to setting up Internet connection using Digi GPRS/EDGE via bluetooth for Palm T|X

First up, need to pair your phone by setting up devices (Phone Setup). You can access this via the bluetooth icon at the bottom bar or from Prefs.

Palm Bluetooth Device Setup

Next you need to create a new "connection" setting, select Connection from the "Prefs" and click New and fill in the details as below.

Once that is created, you need to go to the Network preferences, select Network from Prefs screen. Once there, create a new one.

Fill in details as below:

For password, fill in "digi" (without the quotes).

Next you need some additional details to fill in, click on details and set it up as below:

You then need to configure the logon script as below:

Once this is done, you can tap the bluetooth icon and select Digi GPRS network and connect using your phone. The V3i isn't an EDGE phone, but connection has been quite acceptable in a couple of places where I've used it. I'm still trialling it, but so far I'm quite satisfied with checking emails and doing some Google searches. It's not without problems, sometimes I can't sign on, or it connects and no traffic goes through. I'm not sure which device (or network) is at fault though. Will make a note to try Internet radio later.

This guide was written based on the very informative PalmOS GPRS Setup for Motorola E398/Nokia 6230 guide.
